Carbon Steel ASTM A671 Grade CC 60 pipes contain maximum 0.28% carbon, 1.65% manganese, 0.035% phosphorus, and 0.035% sulfur, with optional molybdenum up to 0.15% for enhanced strength and creep resistance. These pipes deliver minimum tensile strength of 60,000 psi (414 MPa) and minimum yield strength of 35,000 psi (241 MPa), with elongation of 21% minimum, ensuring excellent strength and ductility. The double-submerged arc welding process produces uniform weld properties matching or exceeding base metal specifications, with Charpy V-notch impact testing at -20°C guaranteeing superior fracture toughness and fatigue resistance.
